Scholarships for Multiple Grade Levels

  • College JumpStart Scholarship Award amounts: $250 to $1,500. To be considered for this award, you must be committed to going to school and be able express your goals for getting a higher education. Deadline: April
  • Got Ethics  Award amount: $2500 to the college or trade school of your choice. Must write a 300 word essay on an ethical dilemma you have faced and how you resolved it. Apply to BBB (Better Business Bureau) by June
  • Raise.me Earn micro-scholarships as early as 9th grade and discover your path to the best college for you.
  • Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Award amounts: Up to full tuition (renewable!). Fifty partner colleges offer scholarships. Entry information available on-line. Application deadlines: Art -- December; Writing -- January
  • Young Arts Award amounts: varied. For students interested in pursuing careers in the arts (voice, writing, jazz, photography, dance, visual arts, music, theater, cinema, design) Application deadline: October

Scholarships for Seniors

  • 1st Financial Credit Union's Horizon Scholarship Award amount: $1000. For seniors who are a member of 1st Financial Federal Credit Union. (Application for membership is available on the website.) Scholarship application deadline: April
  • "Aspiring Fashion Professional" Scholarship Award amount: $1000. For students pursuing post-secondary education in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Marketing, Fashion Management, or Fashion Retailing. Essay required. Application deadline: June
  • AXA Achievement Scholarships Award amounts: 52 scholarships of $10,000; ten of those winners will receive an additional $15,000. Application deadline: December
  • Back to School Nursing Scholarship Program Award amounts: $2,500 nursing scholarship. For students going into a nursing program. Application deadline: Multiple throughout the year
  • Buick Achievers Scholarships Award amounts: Up to $25,000; renewable. For students majoring in engineering, technology, design, or business, with an interest in the automotive industry. Application deadline: February
  • Burger King Scholars Award amounts: Up to $50,000. Minimum 2.5 GPA. Application deadline: December 
  • Conservation Foundation of Missouri Several scholarships of up to $2000. Application deadline: December 
  • Davidson Fellows Scholarships Award amounts: $10,000; $25,000; and $50,000. Student must submit a "significant, original work" in one of the following categories: Mathematics, Science, Literature, Music, Technology, Philosophy, or "Outside the Box." Application deadline: February
  • Duckie DeMere Scholarships Award amounts: Multiple awards; amounts unknown. For North County seniors involved in music, theatre, or dance. Preference will be given to students who have participated in community arts events. Application deadline: April
  • Edward G. Halliburton Scholarship Program Three $1000 scholarships awarded. Applicant or parent/guardian must be an Electro Savings Credit Union member for one year prior to due date. Application deadline: Late February
  • Epsilon Sigma Alpha Foundation Award amounts: Varied. Forty-three different agencies offer multiple scholarships to Missouri residents. Application deadlines vary.
  • Finney Law Office Future Leaders of St. Louis Scholarship Award amount: $1000. For students interested in the legal field or a related field, such as government, politics, or finance. To apply: 1) Create a video that includes an explanation of what interests you about the legal industry or a related industry; 2) Upload the video to YouTube; 3) Submit your application and the link to your video online. Application deadline: February
  • "Good Things Come to Those Who Plan" Giveaway One $10,000 award and two $5000 awards. For families who take active steps for college financial planning. Application deadline: January
  • Greater St. Louis Art Association Scholarships Award amounts: Four awards of $1500. For more information, you may contact Ms. Eleanor Gershien at 314.991.2333. Application deadline: March 
  • Horatio Alger Association Career and Technical Scholarship Program Receive up to $2500 to pursue a career or technical certificate/degree. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books and/or supplies. Must demonstrate critical financial need (be Pell eligible). Application deadline: June
  • Jack Buck Scholar-Leadership Award amount: approximately $56,000. For a St. Louis area student who has been admitted to Southeast Missouri State University. Candidates must demonstrate outstanding character, academic ability, and potential for leadership. Minimum G.P.A. of 3.6; minimum ACT of 27. Two letters of recommendation and an essay required. Application deadline: November
  • The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Award amount: up to $24,000. For minority students with financial need. Application deadline: February
  • James L. and Nellie M. Westlake Scholarship Award amount: up to full tuition plus $2000 for fees, books, and supplies. For Missouri residents with financial need (i.e. family adjusted gross income of $50,000 or less and/or expected family contribution-as per the F.A.F.S.A.-of $7000 or less per year). For students who will be attending a four year college or university. Minimum 2.5 G.P.A. required. Application deadline: February
  • McDonald's Academic Excellence Award Scholarship, in partnership with UNCF, awards a one-time $3000 need-based scholarship to several college-bound St. Louis and Metro East high school seniors. Application deadline: Late March
  • MCSC Monsanto High School Student-Volunteer Community Service Scholarship Eight $1000 awards. Application deadline: March
  • Missouri Sheriff's Association Scholarship Sixteen $1000 awards. For students pursuing a degree in criminal justice at a Missouri college or university. Application deadline: January
  • National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Award for Aspirations in Computing Award amounts vary. For females who are interested in computing & technology. Application deadlines vary by affiliated college. 
  • NHS Scholarship Program Sixty $1000 awards. The NHS Scholarship Program relies on nominations; students may not directly apply but must be nominated through their high school NHS chapter. If you wish to be considered for nomination, contact your NHS advisor. Application deadline: January 
  • Opportunity Scholars Program Award amount: Full tuition/fees, room & board, textbooks, & internships. For St. Louis Metro area students. Preference given to first-generation college students and/or students majoring in one of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) disciplines; however, the scholarship is not limited to these. Students must meet two of the three following criteria: Rank in top 5% of class; composite ACT of 26 or higher; 3.5 cumulative G.P.A. or higher. Deadline: Must complete OSP application AND be admitted to UMSL by December
  • The Princeton Prize in Race Relations Award: Up to $1000 plus an expense-paid weekend symposium trip to Princeton U. To recognize students who are helping improve race relations in their schools or communities. Application deadline: January
  • QuestBridge College Match Award: Variable, up to full tuition, room, & board. Must be academically excellent & from a household earning less than $60,000 annually. Application deadline: September
  • St. Charles Community College Scholarships Various scholarships with differing amounts & requirements. Download the application packet that's available on the website to apply. Application deadlines vary.
  • St. John's Bank Excellence Scholarships Local! Award amounts: Three $1000 scholarships. For students majoring in banking, finance, business administration, or a related field. Deadline: March
  • St. Louis Area Mensa Healthy Minds Scholarship Award amount: $1000. Minimum 3.0 G.P.A. required. For students majoring in a mental health related field. Essay required. Application deadline: March
  • State Farm Good Neighbor Scholarship Program Award amounts: up to twenty-six $2500 awards. Minimum GPA of 2.5; must be a U.S. citizen and demonstrate financial need. Application deadline: January
  • Surety Bonds Insurance Company Scholarships Award amounts: Three $1500 scholarships. Required 500 to 1000 word essay on 'How small business ownership (personal, parent, grandparent, or legal guardian) has shaped me into the person I am today.' Application deadline: March
  • Universidad, Ya! Scholarship Program Multiple awards (some renewable) of $1000 to $5000. Application deadline: November
  • William L. Clay Scholarship Local! Award amounts vary. Requirements: Students must live in the First Congressional District of Missouri; if 18 years old, student must be registered to vote. Application deadline: March
