Counseling Department
About Us
Welcome to the Ritenour High School's Professional School Counselor webpage, connecting you to your future.
RHS Professional School Counselors support student achievement by teaching classroom lessons, facilitating small groups, meeting with students individually, and supporting the mission of Ritenour School District everyday.
Your professional school counselor can assist you by:
- Discussing, in confidence, any personal problems and help to identify possible solutions.
- Supporting students with specified needs by offering small groups that facilitate self reflection and individual growth.
- Helping in the selection of courses to meet educational objectives and graduation requirements.
- Assisting in developing a personal plan of study to connect you to your career goals.
- Leading you through the process of selecting a college and applying to that college.
- Teaching you how to investigate job possibilities and how to apply.
Freshman year is the ideal year to begin making your post-secondary plans. Explore your options by visiting the links on the left side of our webpage and talk with your professional school counselor or college/career counselor, to make sure you’re on the right path.
